Ok. So here I am again with more questions. I just got this stove today along with a Maytag set. The lady was still using all the original appliances to the house when it was built she said. Although the stove seems to be a lot older than the washer and dryer to me. She bought A new washer and dryer and stove. And I got the old ones. The dryer does not heat the washer timer does not advance and the right front burner on the stove does not work. Everything else about the stove seems to work but I cannot find a place that recognizes the model number to look up parts. Also curious as to how old this stove is? Anyone here have any ideas?

Thanks. I already found the model number tag. But when I type it into parts providers it just says no results found. The stove even has a rotisserie in the oven !

1966 GE 30" Range

I always liked this style range, it has a very good baking oven and it is far more energy efficient than any oven built today.

Most common problem with the RF element is an open sensor, at room temperature it should be about 17.5 OHMs. The sensors are getting hard to find so you can also convert it to an infinite switch if you like.

If you put in a infinite SW you can still use the three size feature, or you can put in an element like the LR element and install a 5 heat push button and then all four burners would be the same.

GE built this style range from around 1963- 1969 the first ones were not SCing yet, to bad it is not the Micro-Thermal model that would be really cool.

Thank you guys for all the info. Yes it does have the metal shield that covers the glass during self cleaning. And thank you for the parts book. I am hoping to get the burner fixed. I will be putting the stove in my kitchen this weekend. Along with my new microwave I just got this evening. I will post it here in a bit.
