Hi all, I haven't posted in awhile, have been doing some serious "house-hunting"......... I sure hope I am not to premature in saying this but I have an accepted offer on a home (small bungalow) in worcester and expect to close on MAR 25th. This is my first home purchase. It has a beautiful, clean, dry, bright basement for appliances with easy "walk-in" access off the driveway. I am sooooo excited about this. Please keep your fingers crossed for me and say prayers that the home inspection and all else goes well until I close. Thanks ........ :)

Greg, sweetie that's wonderful! I hope all goes well with things. Keep us posted!

Never moved to a place with no screens, but I know *all* about that not enough electrical outlets bugaboo!

YAY! Good luck and I hope everything goes well!

And on top of that you'll have a bright new basement for your collection!

Greg congratulations. I have friends that live near Worcester, work at the Fallon (sp) Clinic. Down here for a visit last week!!

Good luck, Greg! That is so exciting. Hope everything works out just right. Is the basement big enough to hold all of your machines? You have quite a few.

Yay Gregg!

I hope that everything goes smooth for you!
Sounds exciting!
Can you sleep?
Will you have enough window units? :)

Party at Gregs house!!

Well now, thats about 45 minutes from the beach.... What was new address again??? LOL!!

That will be just great Greg! And a nice big dry basement with a grade level entrance! An appliance lovers dream come true! Congrats!

Congrats! Buying a house was the second best thing I ever did--adopting a weiner dog was the first!--and it'll be the best thing you'll ever do. Don't get "buyer's remorse". It's so much fun to do stuff around the house and know that it's YOUR house!
My dad went to college in Worcester.

Yay!! Congrats!!

Just a bit of friendly advice -- look it over VERY closely. Even a professional inspector can miss things. He'll be looking for structural and integrity issues, not for "livability" issues. There'll always be something overlooked, like a scarcity of electric outlets in the kitchen, or a neighbor's security floodlight shining through a window in the wee-morning hours. If you can, take some time to sit in each room and visualize living there. Look for things that'll need to be tweaked and fixed to fit your needs so you'll be prepared for them.

Of all things to not notice, there are NO SCREENS on my windows, LOL!

On inspectors-I was nailed when I had to sell a home becuase the inspector didn't notice a bad roof-It was my mistake for not checking it-so don't take the inspectors word on everything! If anything is suspicious to you-check it out yourself!Guess you better ask the seller whre the window screens are?

You will always remember your first home. We have lived in many but always talk about our first in Houston in Garden Oaks just north of the Heights. 1037 Wakefield just off Ella Blvd. If things need to be done like painting, more outlets, carpeting or carpet cleaning ect. Do it before you move in. Much much easier than after you move in.

Greg it sounds wonderful! I'm keeping both my fingers and my eyes crossed for you.

I can't wait to see more pictures, I see another basement turned into a washer museum, YAY.

Congratulations Greg!! I'm so happy for you!! I bet that you are on pins and needles waiting. I am sure there are a million things going through you mind that you want to do with the house. Do keep us posted. Terry
