Lot of bids there, glad you got it. I'm really liking my Omega, I bought it when I redid a house and had 230 years of plush carpeting shedding, wanted something with a non-disposable bag to empty. I've been using it at home now and it really seems to "dig" in and get the deep stuff. Even my 6 year old plush carpet is still giving up some fuzz with this beast.

I love the color of the Tradition. I used Son of A Gun on the plastic parts on my Legend II, and it really shined them up especially the furniture guard and the handle. I'm going to have both machines buffed so they look like new. There is something about a Kirby when they are all shiny and new.[this post was last edited: 10/15/2010-22:15]

Oh my they sure do!

When I got my restored D80 back, I probably spent 2 hours just staring at it. It was so mirror like it was mesmerizing. It still is unbelievable to stare at. Now my heritage II is like that!

I will have to look into the son of a gun stuff. Sounds like it can make plastics shiny! Just what I need!

Son of a Gun is made by STP, it shines and protects rubber and vinyl car parts. I use it on my computer monitor, TV, and even my typewriters. I was cleaning my Legend II and thought I would use it on the handle and other plastic parts to see what it would do. I even used it on the metal parts it helped some, but it really needs to be buffed.

My boss gave me a bottle one day when we were out cleaning the gas pumps. She used it on the gas hoses and it made them look like new.

If you guys haven't tried "Simichrome" metal polish, you may really like the results. Polishes aluminum, chrome and stainless like you won't believe.

It's Here, Finally!

Got home from work tonight and put her together, but I had to wait until everyone left for work this to test her out.

Runs perfectly, but after about five minutes the belt broke. It's older belt that I took off the shampoo attachment that I bought off of eBay five or six years ago.
