Ross, just like mine, (almost). I suggest you lower the water level just a bit, to where it just begins to come up the window indentation. I find with medium or large loads, the machine struggles to get the load rolled over with too much water. I also worry about what the extra weight does to the suspension system and the drum suports. And you'ere right, only time you hear it is pump-out or final spin. What was "wrong" with it that it ended up at manny's?

Hi Bob. Someone gave Manny the machine because they had a problem with it. Manny said it turned out to be a kiddy sock
stuck in the pump. Once he fixed the machine, it was up for sale at the shop and I was always intrigued by it, much as I am not too keen on modern machines. It works like a charm.
Terry....even Roger likes it and he said he is not a fan of front loaders...

But I notice that he never takes his hand off of the Westinghouse - sort of like a 'ground' so as not to get shocked by the newfangled one!

I have one of those here. Expected it to run a year of so but its still going after 4 hard years on it.. Very Good little washer... No real problems with it at all.. Do watch the plastic door latch they are easy to break (here anyway) S ears keeps them in Stock and they are about 10.00 if you ever need one.. Think you will like it..

I have the Gibson model and I love it. It has to be going on 8 years old and never any service yet. As per my other post the dryer isnt working right now and I haven't had a chance to check for the breaker that Coldspot suggested.

P.S. To me it seems like they're easy to overload. I always put my loads into piles before running them. That way my loads are always more consistant.

You'll love that front-loader. It's an inexpensive little workhorse. I had a front-controlled Frigidaire model from 1996-2002 and it's still being used to do laundry for three apartments.
I bought the rear-control Frigidaire model when I moved to a house in 2002. The capacity isn't as great as a Duet or most other very large machines, but it's big enough for my needs.

I have had all of the models this unit came under and the only one that crapped out on me was the Kenmore Elite.All but that one were freeto take.In 2000 I paid $1099 for the Kenmore and regreted it to this day.I did not buy the $399 insurance and just 14 months after the day I purchased it,the tub berrings went on it!!!The repair cost would have been around $800!!!!!!!I do the same thing with my front loaders and be sure the water is about 1/3 up the window.It REALY makes a difference!

a bit old fashioned, neat design! has it a internal heater, does it run on 115V, and how long does a cycle take?
The spin speed would be rather interesting to know too!

Hi Dominik. I tried link but it did not work. The Fridgemore is a bit smaller than the Whirlpool Duet made by
Bauknecht. I sure enjoy the machine and was able to adjust the water level screw under the top of the cabinet to allow more water into the tub. It is so quiet, you cannot even hear the machine when it is on.
