saw this pop up on Craigslist and contacted the seller within 20 minutes of the ad being posted. I drove right over with the cash he was asking.
Only 26k miles at a very reasonable price...because it is not currently running having sat in the garage for the last 15 years. It turns over, I think it's likely bad gas. The seller changed out the old fuel but I don't think he got all of it. He was essentially the original owner and struck me as someone I could believe when he said it was running fine when he parked it.
New battery and good (but old) tires.

I once had the little brother to this bike, a 1985 k75s, which I rode from Hartford Connecticut where I bought it --to San Diego-- about 11 years ago.

Nice.  I thought I was the only biker here, I guess not.. lol.   My 98 Valkyrie's in the shop  right now getting new front tire, brakes, oil change and front fork seals.. Fingers crossed they're done sometime this week and don't find anything else.

Nice bike, these were overall a nicer bike then the K75. I came very close to buying a new K75 in 1990 but being a bit short in inseam I always found the BMW's to be a bit tall for my liking. I ended up with a new 1991 750cc GSX-R which is a slightly different animal ;)

I hope you are able to put the bike straight fairly easily. With the age be wary of all the rubber. Especially when something sits the rubber tends to oxidize (movement actually brings protectants to the surface in rubber). I'd do a full fluid swap, bleed the brakes and watch for any fork oil leakage. Hopefully parts are supported longer with BMW's, my 91 Suzuki has been limited to NOS parts for over 15 years now :(

That's very sad Greg!

I do hope he makes it. I'm sure he is in your expert care.
I saw too many riders over the holiday not wearing a helmet.
I know it's their right and all, but I think it's just stupid.
