I think the 'meat tender' worked like a probe. My Bro had pank Fd wall oven and it had the probe. You set it for the type of meat and then his signaled and maybe went into warm mode?
Don't remember the door hook dohickies though. Maybe to hold the oven liner when you pulled it out/
Turquoise! That range is a triumph of 60's design and absolutely gorgeous! The hooks on the doors support the oven liner when it's pulled out for cleaning. The meat tender works with a probe that's inserted in your roast to measure the internal temperature. When the meat reaches the preset temperature the oven turns off automatically. That long slender rod at the top left of the oven is the thermostat.
Very Interesting- those door hooks must've been new for '61. My 30" turquoise '60 also features pull-n-clean, but the inside door panels are smooth. -Cory
