Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

My parents had a very similar one that I later got but it didn't have a door handle. I think it's still in use at my former job where I left it. If I remember well, these were made by Sanyo for Sears.

Exactly like the one in the first picture below. I had friends who had almost the same but theirs lacked a few buttons and it lacked the clock (the display was used just to display the cooking time when the microwave oven was in use, see the second picture).

My aunt had one that had the door handle, I think it was about a year older than my parent's microwave oven and I think it had more features too.

that microwave is approx 30 yrs old give or take. Has ten different power levels, as well as a temp probe. also has 3 different defrost prog., can be set for multiple stage cooking, Large capacity unit (1.5 CF). May possibly have a wire rack in oven to stack items for cooking ....not sure though.

I have the model above that Microwave (pic below). Difference between mine and the one in question is I can delay program to start later on mine. Mine also has instant programming keys for power levels and temp probe and wire rack for stacking items

Mine has been a faithful performer since I've had it and still use it on a daily basis. But let's face facts....I don't need all those bells and whistles that it has. I use it for basic microwaving for reheating and for cooking some fresh veg. or frozen items.

I plan on using mine until it gives up the ghost. If that's another 30 yrs. than so be it. I don't believe in just replacing something if it works fine. When it does come time to replace it I will go with a smaller model that doesn't take up so much room or one that is so fully loaded since I don't use all those features.

It's funny how the blue display always becomes foggy on these. On mine, I was able to polish it back to it's original condition (from the inside).

the clock is actually pretty clear for it's age. The lighting in the kitchen isn't all that great and I didn't use a flash when I took the pic. Plus taking a perfect still with a digital camera isn't a guarantee for sharpness ...although I tried. LOL

For a clock that's over 30 yrs old that still works and looks ok....I'm not going to complain.

If you ever have to remove the control panel, you'll be amazed to see how clear it becomes after just a bit of polishing! On mine, I had to remove the control panel as the door release mechanism was causing problems (the door wouldn't release) and I cleaned the display window at the same time. I don't remember exactly what I did to fix the door mechanism but it did solve the problem! On yours, you'll never need to fix that as there's a door handle instead of that release paddle.

Mom and dad's needed a new magnetron about 5 years ago, after heavy usage and was replaced. Dad didn't want to spend the money when new ones were so cheaper, plus he wanted a popcorn button. lol.

Looks exactly like the one

I remember my grandma having....I want to say early/mid 80s. It may still be there for all I know...That thing got major use.
