Thank You Everyone!
I didn't post this to go on a big pity party- I just wanted my friends here to know whattheheck is going on with me. In spite of my troubles, everytime I start feeling sorry for myself I hear of some one with much worse trouble. I may be broke, but I still have my health, I still have Dennis and I still have all my friends here at AW. Thanks for all the kind words and advise posted here and sent to my email address. This is one fine group of people.
The good thing is that I seem to be landing on my feet. Hit the streets on Monday to seek other employment. Tuesday morning I applied for an assistant manager position with Savers thrift store. The store Manager offered me the job Tuesday afternoon. Thats gotta be some kind of record for Maui-most employers play the waiting game with you here. At first I thought "Gee is this what my life has come to? Working in a junk store? Then I went in and found out what a fantastic organization Savers is. They really value the people that work there. All the people working there seem happy about their job, as opposed to Sears, where I could tell within 5 minutes everyone there hated it. Savers also came up with a decent salary for me and it is close to home (important as gas is nudging $3.00 here-yikes!) I am pleased that I at least tried to live my dream. Not everything in life always works out. Luckly I had the chance to take the risk-if I had children to raise I may not have been so bold.
Again, Thank You everybody. I will be answering my private emails when I have a chance-things are going to be a bit hectic over the next few days. I still have a contract with Rent-A-Center, fixing their hashed out appliances, so I can still dabble and do some work outta the house-which I should have done in the first place.
Well-got a lot more to say but have to run right now-Talk Later!
