I took pictures of all my small appliances. I didn't realize I had that many! LOL I put the pictures in a photo-album, below is the link. At the moment I'm into blenders, here's a picture of my latest additions. A Plentymix and a Waring.

Sometimes the pictures are a bit blurry, that is because of the quality of the cheap camera.

Louis that is a great collection. Thanks for sharing them with us. Looks like a really neat steamer. Terry

They all have that neat "Euro" look to them. We once had a Braun Juicer like that in the mid 80's I think. They also look rather small in size compared to todays machines.

Thanks for posting those photos!

Louis, have you ever used that Krups pressure coffee maker? I saw them for sale here last year or so a little on the pricey side for my liking and then they started appearing on the clearance shelves heavily marked down in price which probably meant no one was buying them. More likely most people had no idea about them so stayed away.

This is a wonderful collection Louis, and it is fun to see both new to me things and things that were very popular in the US as well.

In one picture you have a percolator. What brand is it? This percolator was sold for many years in the US under the "Presto" brand.

Thanks y'all!

I forgot to take a picture of another appliance. It's a potato peeler. I'll try and take a picture of it tomorrow.

Pete,

Yes, I have used that Krups a few times. Not very often the taste of the coffee is a bit on the weak side for me, perhaps I should call it flat. Overhere it's a cult machine, the design is quite old. You see it in kitchen brochures now and then, especially in pictures of modern kitchens.

Scott,

The percolator is a Daalderop. It's a Dutch company (founded in 1880), but they stopped making kitchen appliances. It doesn't work flawlessly anymore, sometimes the water doesn't come to a boil.

Great pictures; thanks for sharing Louis!! You have a fantastic collection of smalls; LOVE the Plentymix blender and the Braun K-1000 food prep center (I still remember these in the Service Merchandise catalogs here when I was 5...selling for a premium as well)!!

What do you think of the Braun juicer? I have one similar to yours (mine is called a Braun "citromatic"), except the reservoir on mine is slightly bigger. We've had it for a long time (bought it at a garage sale when I was 5), and it's the absolute best juicer I've used. Can handle literally any sized fruit, makes virtually no mess and is easy to clean up, and is EXCELLENT for fresh-squeezed orange juice!

Ah the Philips electric potato peeler? I have one of those with the complementary salad spinner insert I might add. Horrible thing really, but it does work to a degree if you only use round shaped potatoes in it. Oblong taters don't roll and tumble inside. I bought mine decades ago then they disappeared, and every couple of years they re emerge somewhere and poof they're gone again. I used to haul it out at Christmas to show people and all have a good laugh. For those that haven't seen one, it looks like a salad spinner, but there is an abrasive plate on the bottom that spins and tumbles the potatoes inside to "sand" off the peels, you need to put some water in it as well. Actually for someone that has arthritis or hand trouble it is a good machine.

Wow...I can't believe it. Braun STILL makes the Multisystem, now the K-3000!! Unfortunately I don't think it's available in the US anymore (the link is to the Global page), but you can order one!

Further Googling revealed a price: $331 US. From what it looks like, it's probably worth it...
