Thanks to club member Steve Kirkpatrick I'm building a collection. I now have three vintage washers and two dryers, both gas. An early 60's Maytag in dark brown and a 1970 Lady Kenmore. Here are a few pics of the washers I snapped last weekend.

Loving the Norge...Not really a fan of the 1-18...I can't get back the jumping agitator...other then that, great beginner collection.
Interesting machines! The Lady K appears to be a combination of at least several different machines. The detergent dispenser shouts to me "1966/67 Lady K", while the agitator says late '60s Kenmore 800, and the console looks like a '72 Lady in coppertone. The model number on the lid tag would be interesting to decipher.

"The Lady K appears to be a combination of at least several different machines.". The timer is from a 72 Lady Kenmore. The original one for this machine was stripped beyond repair. It had a silver timer instead of the clear plastic that's on now.

your collection is wonderful, congratulations, I'm currently a fan of Norge and 1-18's, I've never seen a 1-18 console like yours. Any chance of a close-up on the timer on that, and the Norge? My 78 Norge has lots of options with speeds and water temp, but only one REGULAR wash cycle, the other 2 are soak and pre-wash.

I'll do some close-up pics this weekend. The Norge has an extended soak which automatically runs into the Normal wash cycle. There's also a separate "short wash" cycle with a 5 minute was n' soak and shorter rinse and spin than the normal cycle has.

The Magic Chef with its Norge internals will be a fun splashy one to play with.
