Today I washed a HUGE load of darks, Probably 20+ lbs. I used the Normal wash cycle, 40 min. Then I checked it at 32 min. and it started to fill, fill and FILL till it went half way up the door. Then it tumbled for 2 min. and then started to drain. Anyone else here experience this??....Bill in Az....

sounds like the cool down @ end of wash bath

this behaviour is pretty normal in euro FL running the perma press cycle.

Does your Duet have the "6th sense" thing ?

Maybe the "6th sense" felt the huge load and forced the machine to have a cooldown before the wash drain.

Did it even rinse with such a nice level ?

The Duet sports do this, not the Duet's

I thought it was the final rinse in the whitest white and heavy duty cycle. I can't understand why the Duet Sport's do this and the regular Duet's don't!

i have a duet washer and when its starts to fill like this its because its cooling down the clothes the way the duet washer is made you will see on the dial or control panel in bold letters normal/casual so when i do a normal cycle because of the cooldown process witch is the machine sending cold water in the machine i set mine to 1:04 min of wash time and i always activate the extra rinse as well to make sure that all the suds are removed.

Um yeah but

with my Duet I have NEVER seen water half way up the door, even with normal casual. I know the cool down process you're talking about but that barely puts any water up to the rubber lip before it starts draining. This thing is WAY filled up. I wonder what made whirlpool do this for their cheaper Sport washer but not their more expensive Duet.

My Duet

I don't know why mine does this, but I have this fear that when I fill it that full and when it goes into the final spin the door might blow off. So I won't fill it that full anymore. 22 lbs. is too much....Bill in Az.....
