Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

WOW...those look smart.

They look awesome.
I really hope the redesign of the next generation (residendial) of Electrolux washers/dryers take a que from this pro line and incorporate the best of both worlds.

(wishfull thinking)

Video query

There is a lot to like about this product but I was confused by the video on cleaning the filter pump. What was the purpose of opening up the pump and showing all of the water draining onto the floor? Is there not enough space to put some kind of a catch basin underneath?

Drain Cleanout

Anytime I have ever needed to open up a pump pin trap, I have always removed the drain hose from the standpipe, stuck it into the suction hose of a shop vac and sucked every last drop of water from the machine before opening the pump. Bingo - no water to spill on the floor.

Malcolm, I completely agree with you. That's why I couldn't understand why they would release a video showing all of the water being poured onto the floor… I still don't see the purpose in that.

Available in the US?

Seems these may finally be available in the US.
Their website shows the distributer in NC.

Is this an Asko killer?

Washer and dryer technology.

Does the dryer do reverse action drying and anti crease cycle at the end of the drying cycles like the AEGs and Zanussi's and is the starting up sequence the same as the AEG mid to top end protex models with 2x of pump sequences before filling up? does it have the same spinning pattern as the AEG Protex models that have the inverter motors?

Sigh

Europe has much better machines available than the USA.

From what I understand, the USA Electrolux doesn't even give one access to clean the pump filter. A tech has to take the machine apart to clean it.

These are just jumped up domestic machines..

....With plastic sealed drums, little drain pumps and flimsy plastics. The Generation 5000, and previous gen 4000 and 3000 are far sturdier and proper commercial machines, with proper suspention not hung tubs and plastic shock absorbers, have multiple elements and have a proper stainless steel outer tub, as well as proper dump valves.

And if they were meant to be commercial, the door hinge would be on the right, not the left like a domestic F / L.
