For years I've looked for a name for the orangy-red that GE used on the 1961 30" range and the portable mixer.  I'm not certain that both products were offered at the same time - or not; and I've never found any other household item from the same time period in that color.  I have one of the mixers, even have the box, but the color name is not legible.

Today I found this Ebay listing for the same mixer with a photo of the box that includes the name of the color.  The seller even uses that name in the title of his/her listing.  And that name is........

FLAME

I wonder if GE used the same name for the range.

Yes, FLAME!

It took me awhile to find that name too! I ended up finding a vintage ad that featured it - wish I would have saved a screenshot.

The GE M47 is my favorite hand mixer design and I've collected what I think is every color they made.  They also made a stand mixer using the M47! As far as I know it was only made for overseas - I have a screenshot of it on my old computer which is unfortunately dead :(

EDIT: Found a link for the stand mixer!
