A few hours ago I had a CTScan done.
It was a new looking GE unit.

When it went to do the scan I suddenly heard the sound of an old Bendix F/L ramping up to low speed spin!!!!!!
Thats EXACTLY what it sounded like.

There was an area with a little window and I could see the equipment spinning around inside at a pretty good rate considering the size of the circumference.

All these years and the jump in technology has me lying inside a CTScanner that sounds like a big "Duomatic"!

Loved it!
 
Wait until you get the bill for that Steve!! You might think twice about if it was worth it! lol!!

DVR's starting up

Yup my DirecTV+ with HD starts up like that. It doesn't go in steps, just a steady acceleration until it reaches final speed. There's also a 60mm fan inthe back that blows air out of it. But inaudible when you're not right close to it
