For my climate, this is a terrible day to celebrate line drying. I have dried outside in April. In fact, I partly dried some things this weekend outside. But this time of year is iffy here--too much chance of rain. I'd say April Showers bring May Flowers. Except in the Seattle area, it seems more like it's April Showers bring May with more showers!
Why would Hanging Out Day not be the same day as Earth Day? They would seem to be related.
I dried two loads of laundry outdoors in the gas FrankenAid dryer with a 37,000 BTU modulating burner which takes about 8 minutes max to bring the exhaust to 160F, even with a heavy load. The burner was transplanted from a Kemore Combo. It does not cycle, just gradually reduces the flame to keep the exhaust temp at 160F as the load dries and less heat input is required. It wins Tim The Toolman Taylor's "MORE POWER" prize hands down.
