There are people -

Out there that do this on purpose to get attention .

They love to destroy buildings & homes of significant historic value - What makes you mad or sad makes them happy.

To them its a fetish thing.

Notice how they never seem to have an interest in the ugly homes & buildings.

One of the owners of the Pepsi franchise here in Wausau tore down a beautiful late 50's, early 60's atomic ranch style home located on a prime piece of lakefront property to put up a McMansion instead. His justification for doing so was that he didn't like the way the house was situated on the lot.

I realize one man's treasure is another man's trash, but anything Craftsman or prairie style warrants preservation, IMO. As for McMansions-FEH!
