Need Advice....Newer Frigidaire Dishwasher!

Donalds Dad, who flips houses, has a house sold....one problem, the house has a 2007 model Frigidaire dishwasher, a very deluxe stainless front, concealed control model....with a leak, it only leaks during part of the cycle, it seems to me that during the cycle just before pump out, it switches all the water to the lower wash arm, thats when it drips near the bottom corners of the door, he installed a new gasket, cleaned the wipers at the bottom of the door, I cleaned the wash arm and inspected it, its level, its not too full of water???? Now I dont have a clue, he is going to replace it if we cant find a solution??? What do you guys think?

me i think he is better off replacing it it happen to my kenmore dishwasher after the kitchen was redone leaking that is as it wash but the first step i think would be to call a repair tech to have an estimate to see if its fixable and then evluate if the cost is worth a repair?

Check for a broken wash arm!

IIRC, they have a plastic wash arm down below and you may want to re-inspect it and make sure that none of the seams on it have opened up causing the water to spray out horizontally and perhaps leak where you say it is.

My similar-era TOL Frigidaire would do the same thing if a large pot or saucepan was angled toward the left front corner of the tub. The water was finding a trail to the outside. I'd open the machine and redistribute the offending item and the leak would disappear.

This only happened occasionally, mind you, not all the time.

split wash arm.

If the wash arm is split it will leak due to unexpected water pressure against the door seal. I had this happen with, belive it or not a Hobart AM-14(the best dishwasher ever made). The upper wash arm split where the 2 pieces of stainless steel were crimped together. After I had it welded up the dishwasher did not spray out around the top of the doors and front panel.
