Need door gasket for KitchenAid Superba KDS-15

The door gasket on our KDS-15 dishwasher is fossilized and the door leaks. I've searched online and on eBay, but haven't found one yet. Are there any other gaskets that can be used in place of the 416029 gasket? I refuse to give up on this dishwasher, it's a real gem.

Someone should be able to steer you in the right direction.

It is amazing how the Older KitchenAids are still running 40-60 years later and still turning up here and there.

Good Luck. I am running my KDS-20 right now. Clean and dry in just shy of an hour. Love that.

Almost all of the old KA parts were still available up until WP bought them and figured that if service parts were not available people would have to replace their old dependable machines with new ones. Sad and sordid.

Toploader that’s for sure. Modern ones go for well over an hour... first time I ran my sister’s dishwasher, I thought there was something wrong with it. 90 minutes and it was still going.

Tomturbomatic, 50 plus years for mine and it still does a great job! It is sad that Whirlpool took that approach.

Call your local Hobart office or go to the Hobart E-Store and order part number 00-121030-00002 for 33 bucks and you should be in business.
Hobart's number is 1-888-4HOBART

Probably cost you less to get it from the E-Store and less of a hassle, especially if you make the mistake of telling the local parts dep't person that it is for Kitchenaid machine. Chances are the person won't even know Hobart once owned Kitchenaid. Part of our forgotten history.

When I used to install them on the commercial machines, we would install a retaining clip on every screw to really keep the gasket shaped properly. But seeing as they come in a pack of 10 for 3.77 each and you need more than that amount, it gets to be very expensive. Use the ones you have and see how it goes.
