The warranty document references:  To obtain warranty coverage stated below, return defective product with proof of original sale to a Kenmore (Transformco) authorized retailer from which purchased.

To determine who makes Kenmores, they have a code and it's the first three numbers. For example if it starts with 110 like my 90 Series washer, then it was made by Whirlpool. I'd love it if SEBO made vacuums for Kenmore again, doubt it but you can still buy new SEBO vacuums today that are like the Kenmore Professionals and even still get parts for the Kenmore Professionals.

As far as I know they're still owned by Sears but not for much longer cause they went bankrupt again and they're expected to close all the remaining stores down pretty soon. It's possible that the Kenmore brand would be put up for auction or be sold just like with Craftsman.

The model numbers cited on the above web listing and also Kenmore.com aren't in full syntax including the source code.  Once would need to examine the tag directly on a machine.  I don't recall that Sears ever cited full model numbers on their website, only truncated catalog or stock numbers.

There are three Whirlpool-sourced washer models at Kenmore.com and these two which clearly aren't WP.  Maybe Samsung, maybe something else.

Screen caps from the KM site video.  It's, of course, not a true triple-action agiator.  They call-out the basket indexing as part of the wash action.

It’s Midea

It would appear that these washing machines are produced by Midea. After doing some digging, it would appear that this is the same design used in the new Frigidaire Top Load washers and in Midea’s own machines. I can’t speak for their quality/longevity, but the handful of people I’ve known that have owned older Midea Top Loaders have not really hated them. Wash action appeared to be decent, but the spin cycle left a bit to be desired. I’m curious to see if Midea made any changes with this new generation of appliances to correct the complaints everyone had about the older models. Certainly seems like they're trying to become a strong competition in the appliance market.

I had a Comfee portable washer about a year ago to play around with and the wash plate design looks the same. This is like the top of the line GE agitator washer that gives you a choice of water levels and soil levels.... Would like to see how this thing actually washes

I'm curious how Midea will turn out. They've got some tempting looking ranges out right now. I can tell that they are serious about competing with Whirlpool and GE. If they are durable enough they can become a common brand among consumers.

Menards has been using Midea for years. I don't have a ton of knowledge, but I know that all of their Criterion appliances are Midea made, and having worked as a delivery coordinator for one of their Ohio stores, we sold a ton of them. We sold the refrigerators and their laundry appliances the most, and very seldom had anything returned. The only appliances I can recall coming back consistently were their upright freezers as they were having issues with the units not sealing. But right around that time we were having issues with Whirlpool upright freezers coming back in droves too.

Kenmore hasn't been exclusive to Sears for a while now. In 2017 Sears announced a deal to sell Kenmore appliances through Amazon, and they've been seen in more places since.

If you think about it, Sears as a store is basically dead - there are only 8 stores left. But the Kenmore brand is one of the more valuable assets the company has due to the name recognition, so keeping it exclusive to their own stores would just be silly at this point. The only chance at Kenmore surviving is allow it to be sold elsewhere.

Sadly the brand seems to be dying despite these efforts. Electrolux had to shut down their brand new cooking factory in Memphis, TN less than 10 years after it opened, because a large part of its business was supplying Kenmore products and that business just totally collapsed.

i just look at the costco canada website they had on there website a kenmore frontload set but only sold online sure its nice sold online but what if customers wents to see the actual model in person at costco and have question or went to take notes and compare with another model before making a purchuse because you do not know is the washer brand new ship from the factory or is it a model they are selling that may have minor defect like a dent in the cabinet or hidden defects, because when my mom and i bough this set in 2021 and i learn this by experiance it was not the set i was thinking of as i was looking at the maytag centinial washer with agitator with matching electromechanical timer dryer the sale clerck when my mom and i ask if they had it in stock they said no and did not even offer to place an order for us and place it a prioraty order so showed us the washer in the pic but i selected the dryer with white door because my mom and i did not like the matching dryer that had the oven type door and when i suggested to my mom that we look into the speed queen (huebesch) tc5 model with dryer my mom said they where to costly to buy so we went with that set 4 years now and washer defect have shown themselve call it a hunch i have but i feel like when washer reach the 7 years of use it will clearly fail sigh

Sears/Transformco would be smart to sell the Kenmore brand, as it it did with Craftsman. As you all know, Kenmore is just a private label that is slapped onto products made by other companies, so the quality of the OEM is what you get when you buy it as a Kenmore. When I worked for Sears, they told us that new features were given to the Kenmore brand before the OEM used it on their own machines. That was how powerful Sears and Kenmore were in the industry. Now, not so much. Even the service promise that came when Sears techs were a powerhouse all over the country is now a thing of the past. I think that Sears service still exists in some cities more than others, but I get the feeling that they largely do 3rd party warranty work now, and you won't necessarily get a Sears tech if your Kenmore needs service under warranty. I think it makes much more sense to buy a product under the OEM brand instead of Kenmore; tech info and service is just easier to get that way. For example, I would much rather have LG service an LG washer than go through Sears to service the same washer as a Kenmore.
