Hi all, if you have one of these switches sitting in your parts drawer, please respond. DigiKey doesn't carry it, probably because Omron says they haven't produced this model in 10+ years. The only source we've found wants $25 PLUS $10 shipping. Pretty outrageous for a $2 switch.

The part# is Omron L-3C2-2, and we've included a few pictures of it. Thanks in advance for any help.

P.S. Omron still makes similar switches, but they all have one terminal on the bottom -- which won't work in this case.

Take the reasonable facsimile thereof!

If you can get the switch and it has a extra terminal on the bottom, it will still function the same as your original one. It just provides for an application where a normally open and or a normally closed set of contacts are needed in the circuit. These switches are by far, the most common types and fit many more applications than your original one which would account for its hefty price.
You can just tape over the unused terminal if it might contact a metal surface nearby or even cut it off.

A place like Johnstone Supply or a good electrical house may have them in stock at an even better price.

Hope this helps

You can find switches with this terminal configuration all over BUT the case looks like it has a special way of mounting with that tab that I've not seen. That may be the rub...

Many thanks to all!

Louis, it's a safety switch for a Panasonic microwave oven door.
