Need help quick, Restoring a Miele WT745

Short story: Washer is from 1992, Bought it Monday, Bearings are broken, Yesterday i stripped the machine completely down, Bearings are out, How i get the machine normal again? My dad says 'Het is ongelofelijk als jij nog ooit die machine weer in elkaar geschroefd krijgt' [Its unbelieveble that you can get that machine working agian.]

You'll have to find the parts (bearings and such) from Miele, or perhaps from another supplier that will work. Replacing bearings on a Miele washer isn't easy from what one understands. You will need a winch or some other way to get those heavy tubs/cast iron cradle out and so forth.

While the washer isn't "that old", Miele may no longer stock parts, so you could have a problem finding what you need new.

How is your German? Have you asked on the German club?

If you need parts you can order them through Handyman I think. They can get most parts. There are online partsshops as well. And if that doesn't get you anywhere I would have a look at www.teamhack.de

Erm Landuress

The machine is already freed from his broken bearings, Now i need to get my dad his lazy a** of the sofa to get a bearing from his work, The other one is still intact, it even has the grease from the 92's on it!
Also, That vid wiljannn made is very informative.

If You Are Running Windows

Along with most other operating systems have "keyboards" in other languages, you just have to change the settings. Once done normally one hits "Ctrl" and "Shift" at the same time to switch back and forth.

Now if you do not have an actual keyboard, you can still use the "keyboard" in another language, one just needs to know where everything is, but diagrams can be downloaded easily from places such as About.com.

Though one does not have a French keyboard,remember enough about them from typing classes to switch from English when required.

Back on topic.

IIRC, from reading posts on the German site and at the like posted, the bearings are pretty generic, however the sleeves and other parts may be Miele only. Could be wrong, but think it is best to change both bearings whilst one is at the project, but others will chime in on that.

I did the same thing you're attempting to do to the same machine. It's not easy at all and you will need aid to get the tub out of the machine. Take particular attention when you get out the pulley. It's very easy to damage the drum shaft and the bolt. I bought bearings and the other parts needed directly by a Miele service center. I paid 100 euro for everything.Mine also had a problem with the dry motor. It didn't run due to the lint that was in the ducts.

I already taken the drum out, The dryer was a thermostat that needed to be resetted, Works fine.
Also, How in the freaking hell did you get a set of new bearings for 100 bucks? A complete repair set costs here 155,90 euro.

Hi, I got the bearings and the seal at Miele service point near to me. I don't know if the bearings where the original ones. They looked as if they were despite the fact they were not wrapped in the usual sheet with the miele tag. The seal was undoubtedly original. It took several days and many efforts to have the assembly run again. The security switch might have blown due to the blower motor failure to turn. In my machine there was a huge buildup of lint that prevented the motor to turn correctly
