This machine was only used for 10 months and was in storage for the last 25 years. It is a Gibson branded WCI machine. Everything looks great, hoses fine, etc. Dry tested fine. Ran it through a full cycle (empty) and worked perfectly. Then put some clothes in it for its maiden voyage. It will bring in water and pump out water but all i get is a humming motor but no tub movement. Tub turns easily by hand. Where should i start??? Any advice is most appreciated. Thanks!!!! Todd

If the motor is running (via the humming), then broken belt.

If the motor is not running (seized, via the humming, although it should presumbly quit humming via overheat/overload until the protector resets), then motor problem.

Does the humming sound rev way up if you put it in the final spin cycle?

If so, the belt could be off the pulleys.

If you just get the same home anytime the main motor supposed to run, the brushes could be stuck on the motor or you could have a bad circuit board. We used to see that sometimes on this model.

These were fun washers and fairly good performers, not real durable, but if you treated well, you can get a lot of use out of it.
