I need some help. I'm trying to repair the (now loose) cooling fan blade attached to the motor. I've already bought the parts needed for the pump as well as the gasket for the motor to tub mount. But I cant figure out how the pump is mounted to the tub and pump. I am trying to do this without pulling the machine from the cabinet. I have removed the 3 clips and I see the screws. Do these need to be removed as well?

Does anyone have a service manual or can walke though this? I'm getting frustrated enough to go to Lowe's and just replace the machine (which I don't want to do. I love this machine). Thanks.

Pop it out of the tub!

Those pumps will come out thru the inside of the tub once you unclip the motor. If the machine is not installed under a counter, take a 2x4 and put it under the motor and lower the machine back down on to the 2x4 and the motor should pop right up into the tub. Remove the upper wash tube from the rubber hose and the drain hose from the check valve and of course, any wires coming out of the motor. When ready to reassemble it, clean the sump where the gasket will sit and lubricate the gasket with some rinse aid and then lower the motor down thru the sump.
Reinstall the clips and they should pull the motor down to the bottom of the sump and then reconnect all the hoses and wiring.

It really is easiest if you do remove it from under the counter as you have 360 degree access. If you cannot remove it, then just try wedging something under the motor to get it to release and come out from the top.

Steve, thank you for the direction. With no service manuals available, I was lost. I just remember what I went through when I had to replace the pump/motor on my D&M Lady Kenmore top loader. It was a nightmare! I no longer have the patience I had before. Old age I guess. LOL!

This is the first KitchenAid product that I had to work on, actually other than my LG washer. I really appreciate the assistance I have received from the folks on this site.

Thanks again. [this post was last edited: 3/9/2021-14:48]

Clips removed. Won't budge.

So I removed the three clips, and tried to pry the motor up into the tub, but she's not budging.

I've removed all the wiring and hose from around the motor and pump. Does anything else need to be loosened from inside the tub?

Sorry for the dumb questions on this.
