Hi John, the problem with that bearing is I don't think it is a standard size unfortunately, like in the later machines. Maybe others know for sure? I think Jetcone Jon might have some ideas about that bearing, he is one of our resident Bendix experts.

Can't offer bearing help, but you did an AMAZING job restoring that machine... I'm FLABBERGASTED!

John, I have a Bendix commercial (coin-op) that's a parts donor for its sister. I'm not sure if the bearings are a match, but if Jon thinks they are you're welcome to them. I agree, your restoration is beautiful. What's your secret?

The Paint Job

the big secret is to sand then sand then sand and when your done with that sand some more. the paint is off the shelf rustoleum appliance epoxy. The motor, rubber, hoses, porcelain, were all in nice shape. and ran very quiet for about a month after she was bolted down to the floor. The only other problem i had with the machine was the speed with the oil mix, I did not need to ask for help at the time as another member was having the same problem at the time so I followed the advice of the members and resolved that issue.
thanks
John

Started

I broke into the Bendix today to start this job. Not as bad as some of the washer projects I have seen You Guys do. The clean up of the inside of this washer will be easy. Now just have to find the bearings, there is a bearing factory in town
( Orlando ) that may help. the tub seal os fine soft and flexable. hopefully will not be to bad a job. I will post some pick of the inner tub

bearing

Hey John, where did you find a bearing and how did you remove the old one and install the new one?Naturally this was all documented for all of us to see.

Bearings

miller bearings in orlando was able to match them. I followed the instructions in the service manual and also watched a video on how to do it on youtube. you just have to bang them out. and i tapped the new ones in with a rubber hammer.
