You're both welcome. Robert, I saved that photo because I had fond memories of Bewitched and have a similar set with the round lighted dial like you see in the background. Glad I was able to help.
Everything was GM, except for the console tv's and console stereo's by ZENITH!
Loved those rare GM cars, Vette, Malibu/Chevelle Convertibles, & those 2dr Caprice SS (68 & 69) with closing headlamps!
Later GM noted that of those Caprices w/closing headlamps only 800 were made for each model year 68 & 69, and Caprice up until final production in 1996 never had them again.
Thank you all and drewz, for all the information about this set.
Again, if you have any pictures of this set (besides davy1063's wonderful ones), the washer or the matching dryer (really need one of those) please post a few images of them here, or contact me via email.
Mischa, I'll see if I can remember what those two banks of buttons were. The left bank of six were fabrics. The right six were options. The ones on the left I can remember were whites, colors, wash'n'wear white, durable press, delicates, and special. The options were cold water wash, cold water rinse, 2nd rinse, auto advance to wash from soak, cancel options, and I can't remember what the other one was for.
Glenn, it should be noted this machine had 4 spin speeds--gentle, slow, normal, and Rapid 1000. The Durable press cycle was identical to what the combinatinos were for models (Like Steve 1-18's Rapid Dry) that had Nomrmal, Gentle, and Durable Press "speed" options. And with Frigidaire turnover, washing results were quite good on those loads even with the slow agitation. I wish I could remember what the rpms were for gentle and slow. Normal was probably around 640-710 rpm as that was the highest rpm speed for the non-Rapid 1000 dry models in these Rollermatics.
