...for my GE Instablend 14 - which dates back to early 80s. The Jug is plastic and in reasonable nick still, but the blade assembly doesn't have a seal anymore and fluid leaks out through the blade shaft. There is no part number on either the blade assembly or the jug. The blender was manufactured in Australia by GE Housewares and their part numbering system was probably different to the US anyway, (model #BL 21). I was wondering if there is a magic place somewhere in the US where someone can still get parts for now obsolete small appliances. A place with an inexhaustible inventory that has been logged on the net that I can browse. I've googled unsuccessfully so far. All help is appreciated.

Yup it's a Hamilton Beach alright...

In Canada back then most Hamilton Beach consumer products were marketed and badged as Philips. Or sold at Sears as Kenmores. Looks like they used GE in Oz.

There's quite a few jar assemblies on Ebay.. I don't have a spare blade assembly at the moment otherwise I'd mail it to you. I'll keep my eye out

And now I have been made a cuckold of

To think that all these years my baby was a fake GE. Who knew?

Well, thank you gentlemen - I'm going to have a look on ebay.
