Need some help with a older maytag, membrane switch gone dark

So the picture below is one I found online but it's the exact same electric stackable in question.
Does anyone know the model or year of this thing?
The second issue is the membrane control switch just went dark one day (according to my girlfriend)
She went to turn it on and nothing happens no LEDs light up it looks completely dead
I fiddled around with the internals checking the fuses and thermostat and cleaning 20 years worth of lint
Though I could not find anything obvious on why it would just stop.
The lights inside the washer still work so that's still getting power
And up until the circuit board it seems like fairly straightforward and simple wiring

If anyone has any input on this it would be greatly appreciated I'm now getting into trouble for not having this fixed yet

well if its electric....that would be a LSE1000....time frame around 1985-89....

open the dryer door and in the upper left you will find a model tag......give me the model and serial, and I can tell you the exact date of manufacture...

occasionally you would find a mother board go out on one of these......for the most part, their pretty sturdy....

just out of curiosity, unplug the unit, wait a bit, and then plug back in.....always the first thing to do....

between the two, I would keep the machine......

My sister had the same stacked unit. The board was gone when installed and Maytag replaced it pronto. Only problem with it later was unless you shut the sliding washer lid closed tight, nothing worked. Slam it open and closed and see if it works, releases switches and it did for me when little brother guessed and it worked and continued to.

Dead MT Stack

There are two power cords on this machine, the one for the dryer powers the control panel, if the dryer is electric you need to be sure both sides of the line are hot.

 

Check the terminal connections for a burned wire where the cord connects.

 

There is a transformer on the floor of the dryer that takes 120 volts down to 24 volts be sure you have 24 volts coming out, if so you either have bad connection on the edge of the circuit board or a bad board.
