I'm not sure if these are worth anything to anyone here. They're in my mom's basement. I found you folks and would like to see them go to someone who would restore them before scrapping them out. Feel free to reach out to me either by phone or email..

Thank you @launderess. I only use that email for things like this. I beleive I have like 50k emails in there. I purge every year.

@luxflairguy I am going to guess they do not run but I don't know for sure. One is a Blackstone model number 330. The other was identified as a late 30s model washer.

I attached the serial number plate. I was able to make out "automatic washer company"

Newton, Iowa was where Maytag’s were manufactured and they did use a square tub that was not common to other manufactures.   I’ve never seen a Maytag Wringer washer like this one, but who knows it could be a Maytag?

It's interesting that the Newton machine is made by "Automatic Washer Co." when clearly it's not an automatic.

It definitely should not be scrapped.  It strikes me as produced by a possible predecessor manufacturer to the Maytag Company.

Newton Iowa - birthplace of electric washing?

Automatic Electric Washer Company

"The Automatic Electric Washer Company was located in Newton, Iowa, and in 1907 introduced one of the first, if not the first, mass produced electric powered washing machines. By 1910 it was selling more than 40,000 machines a year with a corporate slogan “Everybody Works but Mother.” Its advertising campaign declared “Ten O’clock and the Washing Done.” Mother could be proud and could look forward to the chores facing her the rest of the day."

That's a cool washer to find, as well as the white one.  It's a Blackstone with a Hydractor agitator.  Likely post-war.

I'm trying to figure out what their worth. I've been calling around and doing some of my own research. The green one is pre-maytag made in the same factory. I'm assuming by automatic they just mean the agitator is automatic because it does have a power cord. The square bin is porcelain over steel(magnetic). The lid is very light. I'll post more pictures soon.
