The series of photos upcoming were taken at a chalet my wife and I are staying at this weekend. Set of modern "baby" Maytags in the laundry that I've put to good use so far this weekend. Also a newer GE dishwasher - large/tall plastic tub but cleans well.

My wife and I are celebrating 16 years together this weekend - up in the mountains.

2nd on dishwasher

Inside. Actually a standard size tub rather than the tall tub I mentioned above. Top rack is deep with plenty of room for large loads of dishes.

The Maytags are actually Samsungs right? Nice photos, hope you're enjoying your vacation.

16 Years...

And you're playing with the appliances in the cabin? That has the makings of a long time running family joke.

Congrats!

Now, what is your impression of the w/d? I always thought the would be a fun corner of the garage set for car detailing rag cleaning.

I think your right.........

I believe these baby 'tags are Samsung or possibly Panasonic. I've seen some Panasonic dryers in the past with the lint screen in the door like this one. I actually like the idea of the screen in the door but if you like watching the clothes tumble it doesn't work out well.

Malcolm, my wife is kinda used to the appliance thing and these mountain chalets/cabins, especially the older ones, have surprises from time to time though alot of them are being updated these days so the surprises are becoming less with each passing year. When we honeymooned up here 16 years ago the chalet we rented had a nice early 70s Kenmore belt drive and matching dryer - original to the chalet I believe. Last year when we were there again for our 15th the dryer was still in use but the washer was long gone. Still some older 'tags up here along with the Kenmore and Whirlpools.

As to playing with the appliances - well I can say my wife HAS NOT been neglected...... always play there but won't say much more here..... would have to have the D/L section for that and she would have my hide if I said much more anyway...... lol.

How is that Kenmore 600 doing?

It's similar to one my Granny had when I was barely walking...

maybe...

maybe he was playing with the appliances 'cause they , er, had to do a lot of laundry with protein stains?
