Never Used 1935 Maytag Wringer - $275 (Kaukauna, WI)

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

That washer has been used if you ask me. First of all, look at the Maytag paper on the lower wringer roll, it has the Maytag logo from the 60’s, NOT 1935! And the paper has been taped around the lower roll. The black upper roll does look new, could have easily been replaced. Then look at the inside of the tub, there are scuff marks all over it, and it appears to have the discoloration one could expect from use.

well some lot of people like to exaggerate a lot....

'it was never used' may mean by them, not saying it was never used in its entire lifetime...

a lot of times we see statements like its only 3 years old, for that's when they got it, not exact to when it was originally built...

Where's Brad Ross, if anyone would know details of this, it would be him....

Also, look at the cord, its a newer style, grey cord. I’m pretty sure that the original cord would have been a black, rounded rubber cord, not a flat, grey cord with what appears to be three channels of wires running through it. We had a neighbor that had a Maytag Wringer just like this that she used regularly, and it sure didn’t have a cord like this one in the photos.

So, if its never been used, why was the cord replaced?
