I have a Brand New Easy spin washer. the Model # is SOL and the serial number is 32103. The hose is still in a plastic bag and there is a filter in it's original brown envelope. You can tell it was never used.

I live in California, PA. 15417 Bill $225.0

Yeah I'd say it's never been used!

Newvista58 - where are you?

Louis ? Well, he mentioned to me that if I came across one and so far, I end up with losers.

I've never seen one so clean like this.

Mmmmmmm super tempting....

So folks.... The price they're asking is $225?

(heading to PA this weekend)

Would I be able to lay it on it's side to transport it? Thinking that if it was still available to either take the wagon or the van for ease of bringing it home...

I'm torn!!!!

You go, Steve! Get thee to eastern Calfornia. Take the wagon and lots of fluffy blankets & quilted bedspreads - it'll travel fine.
It's a pristine beauty.

I know the thrill. After all, I did score me a 1935 Air-Way DirtMastR this fall. They are as rare as the Easy Spin. You'll remember me from the Columbus Vacuum Meet while you & Brian were visiting from Aus, deciding to move here.

So....

Just spoke with Bill and his lovely Wife (she just HAD to hear my accent apparently! LOL) and I'm picking this beauty up on Sunday... So didn't really want to spend the cash... But alas - it's immaculate...

So - Falling Water on Saturday morning, James Taylor Live on Saturday night and then picking up this beauty on Sunday morning...!

Fun times!

I guess then I'll actually have two super cool washers to call my own now in the USA...!

Congrats Steve!

Thank you for saving me from this, I mean saving this machine.

I reeeeaalllyy gave this a lot of thought, even though I already have one, mine
is not new unused. It is a fun machine to use and you will enjoy it. I'm glad it's
going to a deserving new home.

HA!

Then I think I'll be needing instructions on how to use it properly! I've used plenty of twin tubs in my time - but this baby is a whole different kettle of fish!

Bill - maybe you'll have to give me lessons! I get to Canton often for work - but have not really taken much notice of where people are located! I didn't realise that there were quite a few collectors in PA either! Shame we didn't have more time to be able to show it to you guys (if anyone was interested in seeing it)...

Any advice, tips trick etc would be greatly appreciated - as well as dating of the machine - anyone have any ideas? 62-64?

Cheers
Ste

That's cool Steve

Next time you come to Canton and have a little extra time we'll have to
get together. I'm pretty easy to find.

I don't remember the model# of mine, but if you check the Automatic Ephemera site, there is info. This one and mine are the same as the SCL model, although I am missing the Spira-filter. This will give you the specs for the machine. You may be lucky and get the user manual with yours.

My best advice is to enjoy it. I think of this as interactive laundry. It can be very therapeutic.

Got it!

already...

We were within a fair distance - so picked up this baby today!

Ran it very briefly to see it works - nice and quiet... However I have some questions...

I seems that the spin selector is stuck 'on'... Any ideas anyone? I'm thinking something is just sticky from not being used and needs lubricating?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Shame I won't be able to play with it till possible march/april! This will be going directly into our storage unit until we settle on the house... This one will sit next to the brand new in the box speed queen pair... LOL

stuck cables

Yes, when I got mine all four cables were stiff. Don't try to force the levers!

Crawl underneath and reach in with your hands to find where the cables attach
to the pump, transmission etc. and lubricate/move them at that point. Lube the cables too. That should be all it needs. Lube everything well wherever it attaches or moves and you should be good to go.

As above! Most of these we see, the knobs are missing as the mechanisms stiffened and the user just kept forcing them until they broke. We sure don't want that.
