Applianceville member Scott55405 is moving and sold two of his fabulous machines to me-they are a Kirby Dual Sanitronic 50-has all of its attachments including the Handi Butler and Floor buffer-carpet fluffer attachment. Also is a Rainbow D that is in LIKE NEW condition.both machines are incredible. Its like they were sold to a prospect-he or she used them once and put them away for him to find-then pass on to me.Negotiating for more vacs from him-rounding out my collection with some real beauties.Tried them out-and they work perfect.Just have to glue the badge on the Kirby nozzle-some Epoxy or Super Glue should fix that.

I am so pleased that these cleaners are finding a new home with Rex.

Most of you know I will soon be on my way to the land of sun and fun, and as such I am downsizing my possessions quite a bit.

It's not always easy to part with things you've had and enjoyed even when it's being done to a positive end, but knowing they are going where they will be likewise loved and enjoyed makes it much more pleasant.

Enjoy in good health Rex, and everyone else stay tuned to see what else might pop up in new homes!

Sun and Fun

Oh, so you're moving HERE to Smogville? Well, true about the Sun, I don't know about the "fun" part... :-)

The other thing I like about the "Dual 50" is the Kirby logo that lights up on top of the headlight hood.

you light up my life

me too, one of my favorite things about that Kirby, plus the ovals plastered over the original bag, the way that particular Magic Finger belt lifter looked, the instruction book, showing a young lady "Kirby-ing " her living room rug and looking virtually the same as Laura Petrie, this being the 1st 2-speed, the 1st with the Rug Renovator, also.

I noticed the lit logo on the top of the headlight cover as well-PRETTY COOL-no other Kirby I have has this. The dual Sanitronic 50 is a VERY nice machine-Now my favorite among the vintage models. The color and design is very attractive. The color of the dual 80"Nausueting GREEN"is rather unappealing.Have three of those machines-only one of them has its "pea-Green" attachments. The Dual 80 I have thats has its attachments was a trade in toward a filter Queen.Came from the FQ office in Greensboro NC.Another thing about the Dual 50-its "throaty" sound as it runs.Pretty cool. Will have to take it for more "spins"Works well in both upright and canister mode.
