Hi Jet

I have the same machine in the uk! It's my daily driver! The buttons are as follows 1) wash very hot rinse warm, 2) wash hot rinse warm 3) wash warm rinse warm ( all have long spins) 4 ) wash warm rinse cold short spin stop is button 5 but not numbered pops out any button 5) is dry 1 heat only.

To wash n dry set timer to 12,9,6 mins etc pres 1-4 and 5 and set dry timer and it will wash rinse spin and dry

To dry only press 5 set dry timer and set wash timer to portion just after spin.

I wish mine had 6) low heat as its a beast and dries a full load in 60 mins but would shrink any delicates!

I tend to use 2) let it fill then press 4) for a perfect 40c wash, leave it in on 2) for 55c wash or press 1) till it heats until I feel it's hot enough ie 65-70 then press 2) so it clicks on its own merry way.

The way the thermostat works it means if a 2) is selected but water very cool it may only heat to 30/40c as it requires water to be a certain temperature upon entering the machine.

There is no heat on 4) no matter how cold the water, it normally mixes hot and cold by alternating the cold valve on and off if the sensor detects the hot water is too hot for a warm wash.

The dryer also shuts down early if clothes are too hot or dry which is usefull.

The machine is vented

Congrats on the haul!

Particularly with the Bendix LT!!!
Nice that there is another example in safe hands and am surprised that they were sold in Australia.

V pleased for the machines, their owners and happy restoring all the machines.

Broken Record

How many times have I stood in awe of the rare and unusual finds Down Under. It is so annoying to watch nature shows on PBS and hear them go on and on about Aussie's unique flora and fauna, while never mentioning their washers. Likewise, we just had two weeks of intense political conventioneering about how America is the greatest in everything, and NOT ONCE did they say, greatest in everything EXCEPT washing machines, and there Australia gets the gold, and we can only admire them. LOL

Who wouldn't kill for that Whirlpool. The American model of that vintage has nowhere near the buttons, and a heater.....only in our dreams. Look at all the gadgetry on the Servis MT and how crazy the Bendix. You really know how to catch 'em, Leon. I love them all. Thank You.
