While Bosch is justly famous for their high quality dishwashers in the USA (and they've won the CR ratings for I think a decade now, year after year), that expertise doesn't seem to extend to every kind of home appliance.
I always thought their Nexxt series washers were bizarre, in that the placement of the controls precluded both stacking and European-style under-counter placement (I don't mean under KITCHEN counter, but under say a 36" laundry counter). The machines did fairly well in CR ratings, but not not spectacularly. My currrent FL washer is Frigidaire, and if it were to die, I would replace it with another, quality is good at a price much lower than the competition. Or I'd get an Electrolux which IMHO is reasonably priced for what you get, as FL1012 pointed out.
Some friends of mine redid the kitchen in a huge house they bought. I recommended a Bosch dishwasher, made recommendations on washers that they did not follow (they bought Neptunes instead of Duets....), and left them to their own devices as far as cooktop and ovens were concerned.
Fortunately, rather than focus on brand names, or be lured by the discounts offered when you buy a "suite" of appliances from the same manufacturer, they shopped at a retailer with all of their models on display and chose a cooktop based on layout and percieved ease of maintenance, which led them to a GE Profile gas cooktop, which they love.
(FYI for overseas readers...upscale manufacturers like Bosch, Miele, Thermador, Dacor, etc. often offer rebates that increase as the number of appliance you buy from them increases. See link below for sample deals. This program lends itself to those who are building a new home or doing a major kitchen remodel with all new appliances. Because laundry appliances are sometimes included in the rebates, it might be possible to buy a laundry pair and one other appliance--say, dishwasher or range--and still qualify for rebates. I'm not saying that buying the same brand for all appliances is always a bad idea, but the rebates can lure people who haven't done their research into selecting the same brand for everything, either to garner the rebates, achieve a uniform look, or both)
For ovens, they liked the Bosch design the best, and bought the double model with convection on top and conventional on bottom (the one with manual dial controls, not electronic controls). They HATE the ovens, they don't cook evenly and the convection fan is noisy. My $700 Frigidaire gas range with SpeedBake convection cooks more evenly and is QUIET. I hope they didn't chose the oven on the basis of my DW recommendation (DW has performed beyond expectations for them).
