Hello guys!

I wanted to create a thread finally regarding some non-make up changes (so this is not about new design or sth like that) but changes about Candy washers inside.

Starting with AQUAMATIC.
New range Aquamatic (outer design is the same, with changed control panel), called AQUAMATIC-TEMPO, because time is reduced more/less on all programmes.
As all Candy machines, they are equipped with sensors, so machine cuts out the time and decides rinsing type depending on the load.
Finally, machines have a new drum, (nothing special, but different to the older one), that is slightly bigger therefore managing to hold 4kg.
As well as new novelty to simple Candies, all machines got EcoMix 20c cycle, that is having distributions and special drum movements during the cycle.
Distri-wash is also implied on some other cycle - one more reason for washing 0.5kg more besides the drum ;)

Candy GrandO Comfort

Story very similar to Aquamatic.
Simple range, updated with previously mentioned EcoMix 20c, and all models have load and rinse sensors, that work a little bit differently than KGmode on higher end models:
Unless machine is really full to it's capacity (and we all know how that is) it is not going to do the maximum time.
With normal loads, machines usually takes
2hours 10 minutes for Cottons 60
1hour 30 minutes for cotton 40
1 hour 10 minutes for cottons 30. (this was already on simple EVO models, and I've heared those exact times from 3 completely different users of them)

Also, a 10kg model with 74l drum (same as standard) is now available in 60cm depth due slimmer rubber seal and glass door :)

Catalogue is in the link

Tumble dryers & Dishwashers

One of the biggest Candy's improovements compared to the past few years. The newest ones seem to be working without any problems, especially Sensors seem to be very well. For Quality - time will tell, but so far, much less repairs with newer models, and much more sattisfied customers - with results of drying and creasing (thanks to new paddles.

The new drum is also launched, and slowly will become part of all of the dryers.

The dishwashers:
No major changes, just a few simple models are now 45 and 47db loud, 42 on the night cycle, compared to only one (complicated with dispay) that had silent motor.

That's about it, leave comments and impressions guys :) Any questions, please ask.

Nice additions!  Seems Hoover/Candy are ones to watch, they seem to be one of the most common-sense manufacturers when it comes to programming nowadays.

Having used a "Hoover Bling" these latest models are looking promising :)

Optima's refreshed as well!

Programming same as GrandO Comfort and Aquamatic. Control panel updated :)

Thanks Nrones!

Thank you for showing these updates on the Candy range of appliances. I'm still very keen on these products. Have 'Hoover' counterpart models been updated too?

As most of you probably already know I had a little update of my own recently and I replaced my dishwasher, tumble dryer and washer (but keeping the old one too) with the 2012 Hoover models and I'm chuffed to bits with them, especially with the tumble dryer which is packed with features but above all it dryes quickly and evenly... also the bigger drum allows crease free clothes everytime (I rarely fill it up to capacity).

I'm a bit less enthusiastic with the new washing machine (but still happy with it) as it's very finicky when it comes to spin a small load... good job I kept the old 1 (Hoover too) which has always tackled every load brilliantly and it keeps to do so with the most awkward load.

Cheers

Now, why don't they offer an Evo washer door on the dryers, just looks a bit mis matched if you ask me.
Looks great models again though, especially great to see the compact machine given another makeover! I hope they haven't introduced plastic paddles to it though? It was great to see metals ones inside the drum.

Its such a shame the UK only has the one with the jet with the LCD display, it if had the jet, I would probably buy it to test it out. The other lower models which do have the jet, also contain the loud motor, which although quieter than my WM31, I want to replace with a machine that's much quieter so it can be used more at night time, as we now get cheaper electricity.

Who knows maybe one day Candy will launch the advance top line models with jet to the UK.

New Aquamatic Drum

Hi, Glenfieldmathk1,
The new drum on Aquamatic has plastic paddles, but they are very firmly attached, same as on all other machines except Indesit which are typically loose :P

Here's an image, I know it's not clear as it could have been, but still shows enough :)

Screwed, not welded drum!

Today I saw The new Aquamatic drum in one store I was in, and I couldn't believe even the new drum is screwed, I honestly expected it to be welded like it is on their big(standard) models

I actually quite like those paddles now I have seen them, thanks to your photo. They look a lot better than the shallow ones that they use in there full size machines. I just hope they introduce a larger version of the Aquamatic drum, with a larger full length paddle like in this Aquamatics into the full line.

Meanwhile - I think screwed drums are stronger than Welded, as there has been a lot of issues with Welded drums, Especially with Indesit Company & Candy Company!
I guess Candy have decided to rectify the fault properly now, I'm sure Indesit will follow.

Very pleased to see they are using screwed drum in this model like in Electrolux Group machines. I wonder if they will start in the bigger machines one day.

Nice looking product
