Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

I’m pleased with the dishwasher. Cleans like a champ. I generally use the Light cycle (49 minutes) and even cookware comes out clean.

The first time I used the Light cycle it ran 65 minutes. Ever since then whether washing a lightly soiled half-capacity load or a Bobload it runs 49 minutes. I have no explanation for that quirk.

Updated detergent dispenser: I like the new sliding door design. It protects the detergent pac much better than the frustrating flip top on the Whirlpool. Most of the pac was gone before the machine hit the main wash.

Continue to be impressed with cleaning performance using the 49-minute Light cycle. Pan fried a steak in a stainless steel pan last night and was pleasantly surprised when it emerged gleaming less than an hour later. I’m using Cascade Platinum with Dawn pacs in softened water and the results have been fantastic.

I have the same machine with the revised detergent dispenser got back in August 2023. Would have bought the Whirlpool but there was issues with stock I think at the time.

Anyway, I'm glad I got the machine and overall it's a great performer.

There is some quibbles with it though pertaining to loading the bottom rack and the autosense cycle.

It would have been nice if they had an "anywhere" silverware basket instead of a fixed spot. That really takes up a lot of space that could be used. For regular plates and such, it's fine but when also loading pots or pans it isn't the most ideal.

The top rack is generous though and I've loaded glass bakeware with cooked on soil and had the glass come out spotless.

The auto sense is a mixed bag. If it senses heavy soil it will do three and a half. Pre-rinses and on the 4th it will pause and then go into the main wash. I think that's way too much pre-rinsing.

You need some dirt for the detergent to attack, especially today's enzyme based products. I already have etching on some of my glassware.

I'm also not crazy that when it doesn't sense a lot of soil that it will only do one post rinse after the wash. The standard should be 2.

Two at least the 48-minute cycle gives you two rinses and is a good compromise and cleans well.

Drying could also be better. You can't adjust the amount of Rinse aid either unless I haven't seen it.

I rarely use temp boost or sanitize as that will make the machine run very long.

The wash arms look like the previous generation Bosch wash arms. They both run at the same time.... Very nice.

Overall a decent machine and it's certainly better than having no machine.

Yes, it is a quiet machine in operation. Especially draining you can barely hear it, just the sound of the water emptying into the sink. At least both spray arms are operating during wash and rinse. I'm kind of surprised by that.
