New Dishwasher (R.I.P. Weezer)

My friend Elizabeth

and her husband and going to buy a new dishwasher. She said she could not decide between the WP or Maytag - I told her a couple of years ago I would have said the Maytag, and while that's still not a bad choice, I'm thinking this would be a good choice also.....but she does not want a silverware rack in the door.

Great job the machine did on those filthy dishes -

I forgot, are you ever supposed to clean that filter manually? It's nice to now that if you need to you can pop it out and clean it, but it's also nice to know that after a year it's never looked any worse than pictured.

Mark, go look in the user manual.  That's an "anywhere" silverware basket.  It can be mounted on the door, in the rack, and hanging just outside the rack between the edge of rack and the door. If you are going to be advising and guiding friends in appliance purchases, you need to be fully informed and know the products.

I was just telling her the bit of info I've learned from this forum over the years. But I did just email her letting her know the silverware basket can be put anywhere. She hasn't bought one yet.
