Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

My last estate sale had some wonderful items in it, but the best of all was the pink kitchen, with 1960 pink appliances that had never been used by the owner. They were meticulous people that used the kitchen in the den of the house and everything in the main kitchen was a step back in time. The owners are now deceased and I was able to buy them from the family to save them from being gutted and thrown away. I just have to install new units in their place. Sounds like a lot of work, but they are exceptional!!!!!
Here is the 1950 GE Refrigerator. They had it profressionally painted in pink to match the rest of the appliances when they built the house.............

Saving the best for last..........The GE Roll Out Dishwasher. With 4 cycle buttons, no visible timer, in mint condition. Very similar in operation to the Kitchenaid timers that have the rapid advance mechanism......

Jimmy, I'm almost trembling. Once I'd seen this dishwasher in ads herer, I never thought I'd see one. Either post, or email me, but I wanna know the sequences for each of the 4 cycle buttons that the owners manual describes. (Back then, they still detailed each one). I really would appreciate it.

And a chrome interior oven. Who'da thunk.

That range top looks exactly like the same size Hotpoint of 1968.

Hey Bob, you can imagine my awe and excitement when I first walked into the kitchen. The owners manual details the cycles, btw, and I will see if I can take a picture of it all and post it here..........

My gawd

Jimmy that is like walking back in time! How could anyone not use a kitchen over 40 years???

WE had the lower end model of that dishwasher when I grew up. IT WAS LOUD! and you had to CLEAN the plates before you put them in.
On Wednesday nites I would try to get Mom to run the thing right after dinner so I would be able to hear Lost In Space on the TV!!

I never suspected they would have made a model to compete with the Kitchen Aid.

Love that Pink!!

Hi Jimmy,

This is like finding a time capsule. What great appliances. I am not sure everyone realizes how much effort you take to save these, and the others you have found. I doubt other estate liquidators would negotiate to save the appliances when it requires moving them and putting in replacements.

I know your place is pretty full so I hope you can find room or these find a good home.

See you in July,

MK in LBC

Jimmy this is an unbelievable find!! Congratulations to you. Almost makes you want to add another kitchen doesn't it? Thanks for sharing. Terry

Hi Jimmy! Those are FABULOUS machines. I can only imagine what you thought as you walked into that kitchen!!! But no pink Frigidaire or GE pair in the laundry room to match??? What kind of washer and dryer did they use?
