Everyone had the right recipie for getting the job done, without tearing up your clothes in the process. Looking back on all of their discovery's, huuummmmmmmm, none lasted did they? Not even the "revolving agitator", they went to a top load tear up your clothes machine as well. Guess we could all say at this point, the one that still exists (which is now vintage) would be the Cork Screw.....

Yes they had and prominently displayed Hotpoint appliances.

They also had Ricky and David, and kept displaying them long past the point they were any fun. Who'd want to watch Beaver turn 25? (Wally yeah, but that's a whole nother thing.)

Interesting... I've never seen a rubber finned agitator...

I was thinking of the gentle washers... There's a Brazilian one without an agitator where the fins are on the tub, which itself moves back and forth (think a front load turned right side up, but with the usual back and forth agitation)... There was the Apex vibrating bundt cake mold tub and agitator: (My fave), the Philco (I don't know what you'd call that movement: Nugelation? That being said...the only thing my Crorge (Norge-Crosley) has torn up was the corner of a duvet... but I think I may be fortunate indeed.

Wally Cleaver... I always liked Wally best.

I liked the Easy Spiralator but can't swear how gentle it was or wasn't. Can say my 70s 'Tag ate T-shirts faster than my '98 frontloader.

Wally was well adjusted in real life and it showed.
