haha. Dont worry, its probably not nearly as heavy as the ceiling fans my friend has that I posted a pic of above.
That 1890 R&M weighs 83 pounds. He has 2 of them in the living room.
He also has a fancy ceiling fan on the open stairwell of his 1880 victorian home. Its got a large glass light, and the fan blades, when turned on, will fly out of inside of the bowl shape glass. When turned off you can watch the cool blades spin into the light again. Really one genius fan design. I believe the fan was about 90 years old.

i have two good ceiling fans,a hunter from around 1985 and a
westinghouse from around 1910-it's really heavy...
Someone painted the westy light green decades ago,but it still
runs good-one of these days i will clean and refurbish it,
using a real light touch on that brittle old winding.
The westy has a rotary switch in the center and was meant to
be turned on by reaching it with a long pole with a fixture
on the end to rotate the switch.

Gotta love what people colored everything in their homes in the 60s and 70s! I can understand appliances in awesome greens, But old ceiling fans just didn't look so nice in those colors!
