Me-time?

It's official folks, we're in the 1970's again.

Where did I store my Members Only jackets?

Heh

How will you spend the additional sixteen minutes per day your new Frigidaire appliances afford you?

I was giggling when Frigidaire went to the script logo in 2001, because someone actually asked where they'd come up with it. At that point, someone should have wheeled out a 1955 Frigidaire washer...

The Frigidare Logo

I saw the new Frigidare logo this weekend at both Lowes and R.C. Willey (a regional appliance/furniture dealer) when I helped my ex shop for a new fridge to replace his 15-year-old Amana side-by-side. Didn't matter. I told him to steer away from Frigidare because of its "legendary reliability"--as confirmed by both Consumer Reports and by a salesperson who admitted the brand needed a high number of service calls. Based on CR ratings and my own personal experience, my ex ended up buying a Whirlpool side-by-side (with auto ice maker and water in the door) for just a little more than a similar Frigidare.
I should hasten to ad that my comments don't apply to Frigidare ranges. My 2002 gas/self cleaning model still works like a champ with no repairs.

Hee hee!

I love Photoshop. I support enough ad agencies around here to enjoy the logo creation process, though sometimes, as in Peter's case, you wonder if someone just loaded "Lucida Handwriting", typed it out, and said, "Hey, brilliant!"

In Frigidaire's case, I can't imagine that someone anguished over that more than five minutes. I mean, really.

I agree that the red triangle seems like a warning--not exactly what you want for your product labeling. I wonder how the logo will "flow" with the rest of the appliance once they start badging them this way?

And where the hell IS my "me-time" anyway? :-)

Jon, I totally know what you mean--it's like these Franklin units either crapped the bed early on, or they prove indestructible, like my old Kelvinator. Go figure.
