New GE(General Electric) agitator washer!

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

I was at first skeptical because it looks so similar to the GTW680, which is an impeller machine. The parts diagram for this washer does indeed specify an agipeller. I'm surprised that Haier isn't switching everything over to their design.

This is really funny because when I bought my Maytag in November I considered buying the 680 and putting the dual action agitator in it to see how it would do. Would be neat with the waterfall...though doesn't appear that this machine has the waterfall feature.

This machine is probably GE's response to the Maytag/Kenmore that I have now, though it's a tad smaller.

It appears there's another model too, the 750 which has a bulk detergent dispenser....not sure if it has an agitator or not...couldn't find it listed on the GE site yet.

Warm Rinse

GE had a similar top loading machine without the agitator. Now with the dual action agitator, it is the only new top loading agitator machine with a warm rinse. I would consider getting it, but with the 5 year service plan which only costs an extra $100 or so.

Their higher end (looks like its only the GTW810 now) top loader has a rotor/stator motor. I would consider one of these agipeller machines if a higher end model with the rotor/stator motor were offered, similar to the old oasis/cabrio design. The cheaper models are just too grindy sounding!
