We just bought a GE Harmony top loading washer (WPGT9360) which was delivered yesterday. It did a great job of cleaning during the first load, but during the next load water started spilling out all over the floor. The hoses are connected and not leaking. The leak is coming from the back of the unit a few inches below where the serial port is. Any thoughts on what could be causing this & is there a way to fix it myself?

Thanks!

i had a simmilar problem 2 days ago when i hooked up my new frigidaire washer, i used my hoses i already had, the metal braded ones, i looked closely and noticed water was coming from the nipple part, even with the hose very tight, there was some play in them, so i used the hoses that came with the machine and NO leaks.

Wish that had been the case for us. Found out it's a defective water pump and GE will be replacing our machine. Just makes me a little leary when a major purchase has problems right out of the box.

When we first got out harmony it would leak but the water would come from the rinse thing where you put your bleach in.The water also would leak during the wash and sense that thing would shake it would miss that capture and come down the tub.We got it fixed the whole water thing was replaced and worked fine. Our house is kinda old so rust can mess with the valves they told me.The washer is great and has a great warranty on it.They are the easiest washer to work on that I have ever seen its like a leggo block when you take them apart. He let me keep the old water valves there all one big thing and I cleaned them out and the work fine now.Its the best washer we have had and its a water saver but you can bypass that part,by hitting the throw rug cycle.
