New Hoover 10kg machine

Hmmmm not sure about this one. Is the drum bigger than the 8kg models?? I suspect not but I may be wrong.
Will there be room in the cabinet for when the drum bounces about? Maybe the out of balance sensor will be even more sensitive so it only spins when its near perfectly balanced. That will be a nightmare.
At least it's a brushless motor. Hopefully its a good quality motor as 10kg of wet towels will be bloody heavy.
Sorry for the bit of a rant but my 9kg Hoover Vision Condensor dryer has been and is a nightmare.

I heard that Hoover Vision laundry appliances are poor quality .
Burnt out motors in less than 12 months !
Whats that all about ?
These machines are not cheap !
Also the new 8kg-9kg Whirlpool's just out.

I certainly hope they have sorted the motor issues out!! Like Mark says 10kg of wet towels is very heavy!! I suspect that these machines will be very fussy when spinning ( or not as the case may be !) and the 60 deg cotton cycle will probably take 4 days to complete!!

Couldnt agree more! Esspecially after the awful 8KG Hoover I had about a year ago
I think its nice they are designing new machines but I do believe their main problem is that their designs are not realistic.
Mine had alot of motor issues which I do hope they have sorted out, although the drum itself had hardly any space to move around, and that combinded with the bad suspension that just seemed to turn to jelly when washing at any temperature above 40*c just made it go crashing around! And seeing as though they claim the cabinet is the standard size I really do dred to think what goes on come spinning time!
Will be good to see one in real life however because I really do doubt the drums are that big, I always use the simple example of that I can fit more in my 6kg Miele than I could in the Hoover. The drums I found are made to look big on the eye as they are generally wider than "standard" machines, although once you have a close look you see that there isnt much depth to them.
As much as I dislike Hoover/Candy I do hope they have improved, as its always nice to see more affordable machines being built well

I have a Miele too ( 1613 ) and I can get a lot of washing in there and get a suberb wash with the water+ set to extra water in the wash and an extra rinse. I mentioned in a previous post about the drums on the new panasonics seeming tiny compared to my Miele, yet they state they are 7kg. How are you finding your Miele btw? I actually love mine more every time I use it....lol!

Yeah! Thing is people who dont know much about washers will think its amazing and go for it, not realising what theyre getting themselves in for lol ( Though deep down I hope they are better than what we think )
I feel exactly the same about my Miele! A year old next month already, its flown by and I just love it more and more I cant reccomend them enough for people who afford them 
!
Its just a bit of a shame you have to spend so much these days to get a "proper" washing machine But I wouldnt swap mine for anything Ive gotta say!

Yes, I am still loving my Miele. I do occasionally wish I'd gone for the machine you have but then I LOVE the styling of mine...just a pity that the 1000 series don't come with the brushless motor. Oh well, nevermind....it is still a fantastic machine. I just wish I'd invested in Miele years ago, in the long run I would've saved a small fortune!!
I was a bit worried when I bought this machine that I would get bored of it and want to replace it after a while....a major concern of Hubby's too...but to be honest I really don't see that happening. I think the over all feel of the machine is fantastic....the sturdiness is what I love, plus as you know, the machines change the cycle to suit the load so it is always entertaining!!

Oh I forgot yours has a brush motor though from what Ive heard they are still so quiet! Really quite impressive

Yeah, really quiet on the wash, gets noisier at 1200 + rpms.

Wow - 10KG certainly is an achievement if this is true, altho I see the size of the machine is bigger than others. .
I have to say a year on from owning the 1400 9KG version I have nothing but great things to say about this machine. I've raved about it so much that my friend now has one and my auntie all of which are happy.
I've read that the drum capacity in litres of this machine is 66. I am not sure about not getting any more in my machine than a 6kg miele .For the first time I can get two kingsize quilt covers, 2 kingsize sheets and 12 pillowcases in one wash load when I change the beds, or if only changing one bed then 1 kingsize quilt, sheet, 6 pillow cases and 2 bath sheets and 2 hand towels.
It completes a full load of cottons washed at 40 or 60c in 1hr 34 mins and reduces this ( by upto 30mins) if the load is smaller. I have only encountered it having trouble distributing a couple of times and this has been when I have washed only a couple of towels on there own or a toweling dressing gown.
Maybe I am one of the lucky ones, but it seems reading the reviews on currys/comet etc there are fair few people that are happy with these.

No it's got the same drum from last year, from the pci i see it's same as my family friends hoover vhd862's drum and not 10kg for sure. The new 6kg hoovers look like a mere 4kg or less, what a joke. i think the 10kg will wash about 6kg, coz its got crap suspension etc. Btw in grattant its for £800 coz its got steam an all like aqualtis and lg.

As for capacity clains, Australian market machines have been making absurd claims for years. I think people just buy the biggest machine and then load it as normal anyway without giving it a real thought.
