Well UK Hotpoint (aswell as Ariston in EU) and Indesit are owned by whirlpool. Basically Indesit Company and whirlpool have merged together. Whirlpool corporation own Indesit Company. UK Hotpoint and indesit are now becoming more whirlpool. The new hotpoint range looks abit designed by whirlpool and more whirlpoolesque. Won’t be surprised if the Indesit Company drum gets dropped in favour of a whirlpool drum like what happened to hotpoint when it got bought by indesit
they look stylish enough, while the washing machines are a mere facelift, the tumble dryers now appear to be Whirlpool-made as it has the same drum as them and following the great recall scandal with the UK-made machines, it makes me wonder a little as to the future of the factory in Yate and whether some models may be dropped altogether like the extremely long-running compact dryer which has been in production much unchanged since 1991! only time will tell what Whirlpool might do with those models as they're now part of their product portfolio.
Its seems its the other way around, newer Whirlpool machines are featuring the Indesit/Hotpoint drum and it seems Whirlpool is Phasing out their own drum, Plus the new Whirlpool Freshcare range are literally just Hotpoints with a Whirlpool logo and different door, i Like the new hotpoint restyling but Indesit Needs major work, they've been running with the same design scheme for years and its in need of a major restyle. I would also like to see what Whirlpool plans for the Ariston brand, its always annoyed me that Indesit Phased it out
