New Kenmore with Smart Motion Technology

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Joe true, there's the technology but

.... actually you mentioned the huge difference between this KenLGmore and your (latest) Lavamat : "drum speeds between 28 and 70 rpm, *pauses* and action phases accordingly".

That *pauses* between reverse tumbles maybe means just 2 seconds, anyway it is enough to make your Lavamat shaft and bearings much happier than KenLGmore ones

If you were a car .... would you enjoy a driver that keeps on shifting between first and reverse gear without stopping ?

KenLGmore

I for one will never buy a LG product again. I think sears is cutting their own throat by doing this. But I'm sure these decisions come from higher management, like all other poor decision making processes that are made. This is a perfect example as to why we are in the sad state of affairs we are in.

Hi everyone, been away for quite awhile..but am finally back online. Formerly known as agiflow.I missed this community.

I never thought the day would come when sears would use another company to produce their TOL washers other than WP. I guess it all comes down to the bottom line.

Do we know that Sears declined WP, or did WP decline Sears? No doubt whatever, it's about money. alr2903

My only hope that if they have problems with these LG machines, the general public does not associate it with Whirlpool.

The general public seems to assume everything Kenmore is made by Whirlpool!

Most people do not understand Sears vendor coding:
A Whirlpool made Kenmore Laundry product prefix is 110. --------- !

Unfortunately I have heard Sears employeees for lack of knowledge or maybe just to close a sale will udder the tried and true "W" word that people feel comfortable and has a history. This was also true back in the early 90's when GE started using the RCA name on their major appliances leaving consumers to possibly associate it as being of the same RCA Whirlpool type product the consumer may have had experience with in the past.

The video doesn't really show me anything-just crummy computer animation with a "stiff" shirt-now show me a REAL machine filled with REAL CLOTHES and WATER.And the prices for the machines and bases is a SCAM!!!Be cheaper for me to take my clothes to the cleaners or a laundramat.Don't like the idea the machines are built by someone other than WP.Won't buy for sure until I know the life and service history of these from other customers.Or for me I will continue to buy VINTAGE machines as much as I can.

I hope their technology pans out for them....

...personally, after hearing the stories of many people here and local friends, I'm leery of the USA front loaders as a whole. Too many stories like the LG nightmare thread, too many wax motors, too many bearings, too many failed spins and motherboards.

To be fair, I've never heard these stories from Speed Queen or Miele owners.

American FL...

I to am very leery of the quality of new American FL's. I bought a Whirlpool Duet anyways. Only thing that I REALLY wish it had was the Digital time remaining screen. So when the CCU does go (which I'm sure it will eventually), I could see the F code and diagnose it myself. Unfortunately, if any problem occurs, I'm not going to know what it is and have to call in a tech.
