As i have told earlier our Whirlpool at work is not working anymore. That Whirlpool was actually not bought. I found it at our local dumpster and repaired so we could use it at our job. I,m surprised it did worked a pretty long time.
But as always, things broke and it did. In the end the machine blowed fuses, sounded weird and alot of more troubles. We then decided to recycle it and buy a new machine
The new machine they bought is a Selectro. These are made by Merloni. I had my hopes they would buy a Miele, but Nooo!. That was too expensive they said. So now we have a machine that rinse very poor and has a extreme sensetive balance control. And probably the machine wont last more than say 2-3 years.
Oh yeah i recycled that Whirlpool and saw some of the reasons it broke. In this machine the outher tube was made of plastic and was in two halves. The two halves was held together by alot of metallic clips. A few of the clips had started to get loose. Some of them had "corroded" badly.
The results of this was that water dropped into the motor, making the fuses blow and it sounding weird. It was a "electric" sound when the drum moved. The leak was not very big but it was big enough to destroy the motor.
I also noticed one of the concrete weights had started to come loose. Must have been the loud knocking noise we heard when it span on high rpm´s.
I really miss that Whirlpool most because the high level rinses. In the Selectro the water hardly goes over the rim.
