Hi all. I have some updates. Firstly, School has finally completed the kitchen and brought a washer dryer, a Tricity Bendix WDR1030! It is super quick at drying but wash times are pretty long. Also, I am selling the Indesit IS60V to my food technology teacher. And when it gets taken to them I will remove the old dryer. I happen to know what it is, a Bosch WTA2000! It had a new motor and not long after the heater broke. She then got a condenser dryer witch broke recently. They kept the old one but never actually got round to fixing it. So I am selling the indesit to them and will keep the Bosch for a little while. Really depends on my satisfaction with it. But it is made by Croslee so after owning a White Knight should be pretty good :)Here are a few photos of schools washer to keep you amused. Chris

Drying dial and options. The dryer is super fast. I put a large load of aprons to dry for 40 mins on low heat and they were dry as a bone!

Dial and mains light. The light illuminates red when the on button is pressed in. Mechanical timer driven machine.

And finally the drum. 4.5 KG for washing, 2.2 KG for drying. But I don't think people actually go by the manual! The drum is below. That is all from me. Chris. (the link is to my channel where there are a few videos of the machine.)

good washer dryer there, I bet u're looking forward to ur new acquisitions, I wish I could have space 4 a small selection of machines but sadly I don't have that :(

on a similar note, the school I used 2 go 2 had Bendix and Zanussi machines and remember seeing them working whenever I got the chance lol. I look forward 2 more vids from u with the new machines :)

I think you are getting the better end of the deal with the Bosch dryer, even if it does need a repair! The only thing to watch for on those big Croslee ones, if you have to change the big circular heater at the back you have to make sure the new one does not sit too proud of the back panel or it will scrape on the drum.

Hi all!

Thanks for your replys. The washer is reconditioned and came from where the WM12 came from. Except they were not going to mend it.

Fido - I do agree! I really think it is my gain.

The dryer does now work :D and the test run will be up shortly.

@aquacycle Do you say that because the door glass is at an angle? And the door looks different to the stock photo? I do agree, it really has. And besides, the cycle I timed, and also in the brochure it says Cottons 60* takes 2 hours and 15. But it is a really good washer.

Christopher

I don't believe many people read the manuals these days. I saw one person cramming a full load of soiled whites/colours in an Hoover Vision and bugger me they used the Rapid 29'! And when it comes to transit brackets, the amount of youtube clips of machines jiggling around the kitchen is scary almost!

Not too dissimilar events happen at my college either. The two washers in the HE room are normally set to 40* Colourfast, but they just leave it at that. Disgusted was I so the dial on the Nextra creeped up to boilwash and nobody noticed! The cloths they use need it as well!

Hi again!

Update
I will be taking the Indesit to school and saying a bye bye to it :( And I will be saying a hello to the Bosch WTA2000 and a wadge of cash. And I will be filming more of the Bendix next Monday :)

Hi Fido

8000? it was a typing error, i meant 800 but pressed the nought key an extra time. Unless you wanted a pic of the WM12?

Jet Engine lol

Yea, it is funny that when Jacob was down he said that there may be an Aquarius 8000 from Hotpoint, a future machine? Yea, although, if I hadn't made the mistake the n the WM12 would be a suitable machine for he name :)

Bosch WTA2000

The Indesit was put in the kitchen and the Bosch was placed on the trolley in the kitchen for the day. Then I wheeled the Bosch out and up the drive and to the car, got it home and put it in the shed. Now I was going to plug it in and see what it actully did but I tried to put the plug in the socket but it did not fit. I assessed the plug and one of the plastic bits that hold the pin in had melted :( So I will replace the lead this evening when I have got time. But anyway, here are some photos :)

Bosch WTA2000

Full Frontal. A few scuffs but that is not really much of a bother as ti should clean up nicely. Also the stickers are a real pain!
