Your IGNIS looks like the first FRIGIDAIRE in my gallery, especially the tumble.
For Brandt and Vedette, The first drum opening systems had a sort of button: you push it and the door goes in the back of tub. To cloose it, you take the door and when it is closed, the button blocks it. I hope you undesrtand my English... Anyway, You'll see the system very soon in a next video about Brandt statomatic 47 super, a very famous washing machine from 1967.

Vivalavatrice is right about lauderall. This machine looks like Laden in France, one of the firts automatic washers in France, from 1949. here's a pic

Thank you Bert, don't worry about your English it's not worse than mine at all!
Use some French words if it is necessary for you... here is more used than Italian though :-) And is my second foreign language

So you say the drum lid is "glissable" (=sliding)... interesting! I have figured out it coudl be like that...but not sure. I'm really looking for watching at videos soon!

Nous attandons les videos de tons machines a lavèr, specialment depuis que nous avons savu qui sont part d'un collection.

A bien tot!
