Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support AutomaticWasher.org:

You have a beautiful home. When I moved into this house I thought about getting a couple of those for the back yard, but decided not to after I saw all the dust that comes from the concrete company next door. Clothes would be dirty before they even dried.

Congrats

on the new dryer !

Is that a Maytag or a Kenmore?

Your clothes will smell SOOOOOO good.
If you need help hanging up your undies, let me know.

Child, and you are breathing all of that?

Get the flock out of there!

We had an umbrella style clothesline that slid into a pipe mounted in flush piece of concrete. It worked great until a huge ass gust of wind snapped it off with 3 loads of laundry on it.

I did dig the hole and poured the QuickCrete concrete. We did everything it said to do. Tomorrow I am heading to Target to get the clothespins. Hopefully I can find some good old fashioned American made ones...but I wont hold my breath. This clothesline was made by Lehigh and of course made in China. For the price I figured it was a good deal. Its about 197 ft of lines. It does say 32 pounds max for clothes so we will see.
On the yard my other half does it all...he loves doing yardwork and its his passion.
Here is another pic of the yard....

Good luck finding American made pins. I looked recently at Target, and found that they had 3 different choices, but they all had one thing in common: Made In China.

Thats what I figured on the clothespins. There was once a company in Maine that made them and they made the best. And thanks for the comments guys...Scott puts alot of himself and gawd knows money into the yard. Its the one thing he looks forward to when spring comes.

The yard looks great, the grass looks fab, I have a thing about nice looking green lawns and what is that beautiful rock wall everywhere. I'd kill for that. Is it a wall or sort of enforcing an embankment?

The rock wall was built in the late 60's and it wraps around the neighbors property. Behind it was landfilled in since it was a slope at one time. . This year the lawn looks good...but crabgrass always seems to crop up from time to time.

That's what Ebay is for!

Holy moly, Dan! How do you find all this Ebay and C/L stuff? You need to get another hobby to take up all that spare time like, oh I don't know, collecting and restoring appliances... LOL!

That yard is absolutely fantastic. All that's missing is a hammock and a nice drink to enjoy while reading a good book! Fantastic!

I've been an "Ebay Whore" since 1998, so I know how quickly find what I'm looking for.

"You need to get another hobby to take up all that spare time like, oh I don't know, collecting and restoring appliances... LOL!"

I've got so many f***ing hobbies that I run around in circles trying to figure out what to work/fix/blow up next, lol.

Nice clothes line

you have. I have this exact clothes line (I purchased through Fingerhut)but unfortunately paid more. I did not know this until recently, but there are laws on the books (depending on where you live) that allows residents to hang out laundry. Oh, nice pictures of your lawn/garden

Lovely landscaping

And the fink plamingoes add just the right touch. My OL always had a "spinner" (as she called it) for the 35 years they lived in the 'burbs. Never a problem with it collapsing or tipping from too much payload. Yours looks much bigger than the one she had. Enjoy!

"gawd knows money into the yard"

There are probably some questions you don't want the answer to...and this could be one of them. ("You spent HOW MUCH for those FLOWERS?!?" "Er, no, I spent X dollars for A SINGLE flower. But there are 20 of them, which comes to..." [Sound of loud thunk in background, due to faint from sticker shock.])

Although, I'd say that yard is worth it--it's stunning.

Your yard looks absolutely beautiful. Who spends all the time keeping the lawn looking that good?

That line looks pretty flimsy compared to what we have here though.

Have a look at the Fixed and Folding head hoists in the link, from the original designer and manufacturer of the rotating hoist. The folding head hoists are removable from the ground so you can put them away when you want to use the yard space.

Unfortunately its all made in China now, but at least the company is still Australian Owned.

We've got two lines, the retracting line outside and the folding frame in the garage.

Oh I know how much he spent since I was with him every time he got something. The yard flowers come from Home Depot, Lowes, Steves Nursery here in Lynn and Mahoneys in Winchester Mass. He loves the yard and he loves gardening...so I dont say much when it comes to this hobby of his. He certainly doesnt say much about mine...well he does but well ya know...

What type of bush is that in Post 354205-6/2/2009?

Nmassman, can you tell me what type of bush that is in one of your posts. It is the post that pictures both of your vehicles on the side of the house. the flowers appear to be Fuscia colored.
Thanks!
Mark

What about Martha? She must have clotheslines and pins. Is most of her stuff made in the states?
